Suffolk University Apostille Guide: Diplomas & Transcripts
Updated: 3 days ago
Have a job, degree program or residency application abroad that needs your Suffolk University records? Start with the exact document the recipient wants. Boston Notary Service helps Suffolk students and alumni arrange the preparation, local notary appointment, apostille submission and return delivery for their request.
Which Suffolk document do you need?
Your document | Where to begin |
Diploma or replacement diploma | Confirm whether the recipient needs a registrar-certified record or will accept a properly prepared copy. |
Official transcript | Check paper, certification and delivery requirements before placing the school order. |
Enrollment or degree-verification letter | Ask the recipient for its required wording and confirm what the registrar can provide. |
A paper or digital copy you already have | Tell us the format and recipient instructions before printing, notarizing or mailing it. |
How to apostille Suffolk University records
1. Get the recipient’s document instructions
Ask for the document type, destination country, translation requirements and arrival deadline. A diploma, transcript and enrollment letter answer different questions. Ordering one does not automatically satisfy a request for another. Tell us if you need more than one document or separate sets for different recipients.
2. Choose the appropriate Suffolk ordering option
Suffolk’s current Parchment instructions include “Transcript with Apostille” and “Replacement Diploma – with Apostille.” For the transcript option, Suffolk directs students to choose “I’m sending this order to myself.” These options are intended for local pickup by a mobile Massachusetts notary arranged in advance. Use your legal name for a replacement diploma intended for apostille.
Suffolk says it does not have a designated campus notary. Notary charges are separate from the school’s document charges. Contact us before ordering so we can discuss the pickup arrangements and avoid having a record sent to the wrong place.
3. Arrange the registrar appointment and notarization
With the necessary release and order details, we can coordinate the notary appointment and pickup with the registrar. The record must be ready and the appropriate school representative available. Tell us if you have already placed an order, and keep the confirmation handy.
4. Complete the certification and return delivery
After the required preparation, we coordinate the Massachusetts apostille or applicable authentication route. We then arrange the agreed return delivery. If you are overseas, include the delivery country and the date the completed paperwork must arrive. Ask the recipient whether it also needs the source document and apostille translated.
Already have your diploma?
You may not need to order a replacement, but let us review the requirements first. A notarized copy and a registrar-certified academic record are different things. A digital credential or emailed PDF also needs its own review; printing it does not automatically make it suitable for an apostille. We’ll help you identify the next step before you spend money on another document.
What to include in your request

Suffolk University apostille FAQs
Can you help if I have moved away from Boston?
Yes. Tell us where you are and what you need. We can discuss local coordination and delivery without requiring you to travel back to campus. School release requirements still apply.
Does selecting an apostille option in Parchment finish everything?
No. Arrange the mobile notary and confirm the remaining certification and delivery steps. Review what your school order includes separately from the Boston Notary Service quote.
How long does it take?
The timeline includes the school’s preparation, appointment availability, certification and shipping. Send your deadline at the beginning. We’ll confirm the available service after reviewing those parts; a rush request needs confirmation.
What if my destination needs embassy legalization?
Share the destination before ordering. Some requests follow an authentication and legalization route. Our Apostille Country Guide helps you explore the route, and the recipient’s instructions help us confirm preparation.
