Not sure whether to request a local notary visit or help preparing documents for another country? Boston Notary Service can review the document type, issuing location, destination and deadline so your request reaches the appropriate service.

Choose a mobile notary appointment for a prepared-document signing

If your attorney, employer or document recipient asks for a signature to be notarized, send the prepared document category, signer count, address and preferred time. We coordinate the appointment, identification questions, witnesses and quote.

Choose an apostille request for documents going abroad

Send the country where the document will be used, the issuing state or federal agency, document type and recipient’s instructions. Some records need a certified copy from the issuing office; others require an authorized signature before certification. An apostille or authentication is separate from notarization and does not approve a document’s contents or guarantee acceptance.

When both services may be involved

A prepared power of attorney for use abroad may call for a notary appointment and a later certification step. A birth certificate or other government record may follow a different route. Ask us to review the requested document preparation before scheduling so you can avoid an unnecessary appointment.

What to send our team

Share the document category, where it was issued, where it will be used, deadline and the instructions you received. For a visit, add the exact address, signer count and preferred time. We will explain the proposed service and quote before you proceed.
