Preparation & service details
Need documents ready for use abroad on a tight schedule? Boston Notary Service helps individuals, families, students and businesses arrange expedited Massachusetts apostilles and document authentication. Tell us your deadline and what you already have, and we will explain the next step, confirm available timing and give you a clear quote.
Need a same-day apostille in Boston?
Ask about same-day availability before sending originals or making a trip. An eligible document that is complete and ready early in the day may have different options from a record that still needs retrieval, a university signature or notarization. We check these details first so you can make a practical plan.
Timing depends on document readiness, the number of documents, our schedule and government processing. The Massachusetts counter currently handles up to three documents per customer; larger submissions and documents dropped off after 4 p.m. follow later pickup rules. Our collection and preparation need to happen before the government cutoff. We confirm the available service for your request rather than treating an online inquiry as a same-day reservation.
Documents we help with
- Massachusetts birth, marriage and death certificates in the required certified form
- Diplomas, transcripts and enrollment letters with the appropriate school certification
- Prepared powers of attorney, affidavits and company authorizations that require notarization
- Eligible certified Massachusetts court records and corporate documents
- Single-status paperwork, with the document type matched to the recipient’s instructions
A certified government record and a privately signed document are prepared differently. Tell us the issuing office or signer, the destination country and any written instructions you received. Our Massachusetts-commissioned notaries can help with required notarization; the Secretary of the Commonwealth issues the state apostille or authentication.
Local Pickup, Notarization & Document Return Across Greater Boston
We coordinate document pickup, mobile notarization and local return throughout the Greater Boston area, including Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton and surrounding communities. Share your pickup address, when your documents will be ready and your deadline so our team can confirm availability, timing and pricing.
If you are outside Massachusetts, ask for mailing instructions before shipping originals. Tell us whether the completed documents should come back to you, go to another U.S. address or be shipped overseas. Government completion and arrival at the destination are separate milestones, so include the date the recipient actually needs the packet.
Get your expedited apostille request started
- Tell us what you need: the document type, issuing state or agency, destination country, number of documents and arrival deadline.
- Confirm the preparation and quote: we identify any missing steps and discuss the available processing, collection and delivery options.
- Send or hand over the documents as agreed: we coordinate the accepted submission and return arrangements.
Have a visa appointment, overseas start date, wedding or business deadline? Include it in your first message. If more than one document is involved, list them all so we can plan the complete request.
What does the quote include?
Your quote identifies the agreed apostille service and government charges, plus any requested retrieval, notarization, travel or shipping. Rush options depend on what is ready and the time available. Ask us to include the full collection-to-delivery arrangement so you know what you are paying for before work begins.
Questions about rush apostille service
Can a scan be used to start the request?
A clear scan or document description can help with the initial review. It does not replace an original or official certified copy when one is required. We will explain what to send before you release your documents.
Can you expedite a diploma or transcript?
We can help coordinate the apostille process once the academic document has the necessary school certification. If a registrar’s signature or campus appointment is still needed, that preparation affects the schedule. Tell us the university and which documents you have in hand.
Does this cover an FBI report or an out-of-state certificate?
Those documents may need a separate federal or state process. We can discuss the appropriate service, but a Massachusetts rush appointment does not establish the timing for another issuing authority.
Can I request help on a weekend?
You can send your request and ask about appointment availability. State processing follows government business hours and closures, which we factor into the plan.
Will the document arrive overseas the day it is apostilled?
Usually those are separate steps. Tell us the destination address and delivery deadline so we can discuss shipping after certification. The receiving organization decides whether the completed packet meets its requirements.
